Controllable gas springs

Controllable gas springs

Gas springs with active stroke control for applications where force and stroke timing must be precisely managed.

Controlled gas springs enable controlled piston rod movement during the die working cycle. Compared to standard nitrogen springs, the nitrogen flow is actively opened or closed, allowing a precisely defined force engagement point, force curve, and return behavior.

They are mainly used in demanding drawing operations, deep drawing, progressive dies, hot forming, or applications where multiple force points must be synchronized. In practice, they help stabilize the process, prevent material tearing, minimize deformation, and reduce load on the die structure.
